Album Cover

For this project I went with the idea of heaven and hell through the perception of the eye. On the cover, vibrant blues and beauty of heaven are offset by the subtle reds of hell showing there is chaos in beauty. On the back, the sinister tones of hell with the offset of slight blues to show there are heavenly aspects within a hellish scape. This album helped me through when I felt like I was going through my own hell, but it has also been there when I was going through a stage of euphoria. I utilized a black letter font style to connect old Christian manuscripts, further pushing the heaven and hell aspect. The song titles are positioned so that as you read down the heaven side you see hell above and then you look over and the second series of tracks start above.

For the zoetrope, I went with a tear to show how both heaven and hell have the ability to make you cry. The mockup is a physical picture in Barnes and Noble where I placed my vinyl in the vinyl section.
