Podcast Poster
The podcast by Jennette McCurdy highlighted some raw feminine emotions that I could only picture as a peachy color contrasted with other emotions that I feel everyone could relate to. In this project, the decision to have a tug and pull between masculine and feminine played a huge role in my font choices as well. By setting the background as a pastel shade, I wanted to capture the essence of human skin, since a lot of the topics are not just skin deep. With a podcast about personal situations that at times I couldn’t relate to, designing for the poster was hard.
This piece strongly gives an in-the-recording studio or room poster vibe. It’s the kind of piece that would be hanging in the background of a video if you wanted to hear more. It could also be the kind of poster you would see in a hallway advertising an artist while you walk through the space.
