Bitmap Monogram

When designing this project, I felt like I needed to establish a font that expressed who I am as a person. The design uses block letters with line weights that vary as a show of character. At my core I am a very straight-to-the-point person when I make a decision, but feel like my faith in that decision can vary. This project a feels chic as well as digital to me, which represents my polished and classy online presence.

In this mockup, I demonstrate how the font would look on a digital screen at a well-established classy restaurant or wedding. I feel like it would read best on a digital screen but would not work as a printed aspect on a shirt or other physical items.

Final project of 223

Revisited in 224

I decided to revisit the project and completely redo it. I truly believe that when I first worked on this piece I was trying to overachieve and do more than needed by incorporating four letters. I made more than what was necessary without the skills to balance it and space it properly within which led to aspects of the project pushing boundaries and not being spaced out evenly. The first iteration of the work doesn’t feel like me while the second one does. The first one feels robotic, industrial, and shiny which simply isn’t me.
