Before the fall
Often, my artwork imitates natural surroundings. Photography has always been a passion of mine as a compliment to my digital design work. The fall, the vibrant and dark colors and a spooky atmosphere often become the focal point of my work. I enjoy all aspects of images, but I feel like this image does the best job at capturing the intent behind this project. This series captures the personification of autumn and the vibrance of life in the early days and the cold unsettling death like end of the season.
The Process
I started by purchasing a pumpkin from Town and Country, and thinking of how I could capture what the weeks before fall feel like. The, pictured below, rolls of candid’s were the result.
Then it was time to mix and master the images that I felt represented the days/weeks right before fall to me.
